Alison Ridyard

Alison graduated from the University of Bristol in 1992 and spent six years in general practice before moving to the Dick Vet (University of Edinburgh) in 1998 to undertake a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine. 

She remained at the Dick Vet until 2013, as Lecturer then Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine, latterly running the ICU and Emergency Medicine Service.  Alison moved to the University of Glasgow Vet School in 2014 where she is currently a Senior University Clinician in Small Animal Medicine and Head of the Medicine Service. She is a European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Medicine and is interested in all aspects of internal medicine including haematology and disorders of haemostasis.
