Cameron graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2008 and worked in general practice for four years before entering research to pursue an interest in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Cameron completed a PhD investigating the characterisation and application of musculoskeletal stem cells in human tissue engineering before joining Fitzpatrick Referrals in 2017.
Cameron forms part of the regenerative medicine service, helping to incorporate leading research approaches in bone tissue regeneration into custom solutions offered at Fitzpatrick Referrals. Personal research interests include phenotypic characterisation of canine stem cell populations and manipulating their differentiation potential in vivo with novel hydrogel and small peptide combinations. As part of his role I support the research activity at Fitzpatrick Referrals Orthopaedics and Neurology, engaging with external research partners and contributing to article publication.
