Laurie Edge-Hughes, is a physiotherapist from Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and a Master of Animal Studies in Animal Physiotherapy. Additionally, Laurie is certified in medical acupuncture and canine rehabilitation therapy.
She has been involved with the executive of the Animal Rehab Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association since its inception in 1994. Laurie taught the first canine physiotherapy courses in Canada, the USA, and Australia. She continues to teach for the Animal Rehab Division in Canada, taught for 10 years with the Canine Rehab Institute in the USA, and guest lectures internationally to various physiotherapy or veterinary associations and university programmes. She secretly hopes to teach on every continent over her lifetime! Her primary teaching platform is now FourLeg.com, an online educational website. Laurie co-owns and practices out of The Canine Fitness Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
