Justine has had just about everything thrown at her this year quite apart from Covid 19 - from the retirement of 3 much loved directors, through extremes of weather conditions requiring emergency clothing to the "running in" of our new out of hours nursing scheme and yet has maintained a calm control in a very good imitation of a swan gliding gracefully over the water's surface while paddling madly underneath!
Thanks to her stewardship of staff and resources FMV has not had to shed a single job and has in fact employed a few extras. Staff have been brought in and out of furlough in such a way that no one burnt out nor did anyone feel abandoned at home. She has had to devise new protocols, rotas and OOH schedules pretty much weekly which would have had most people tearing their hair out but Justine has carried on with a full head of hair.
Through it all she has been quietly keeping an eye on everyone’s mental and physical well being as well as our viral safety, has been the voice of reason, the sympathetic ear, the poster of the odd silly thing on our practice WhatsApp to entertain us and the provider of Christmas hampers to every staff member. Always professional, Justine has steered the Friars Moor Family through 2020 and beyond with a reassuring and steady hand. Oh, and provided us all with a jolly good laugh now and then - because that’s very her too.
